Social Cities and Write ups Due TODAY!!! I had several students tell me they are done and left it at home or nearly done. I want these handed in tomorrow so I do not have to make phone calls to parents.
Today in room 16:
We started our morning with a survey on google classroom to measure the students feelings on zones of regulation, sit spots and daily mindfulness. Anyone who has missed this survey can still access it through google classroom.
We then used the next part of our morning to finish reading chapter 18 in Touching Spirit Bear. Today I let the students use technology to answer the different questions after our reading.
After an indoor recess and snack we continued pt 2 of our lesson on triangles and angles. Yesterday we learned about the different ways to classify triangles by angles and sides.
Angles: acute, obtuse and right.
Side lengths: Scalene, isosceles and equilateral.
We learned how to classify triangles by names such as acute equilateral and obtuse scalene!
After math we had a presentation from WE Events about how we can support people in our community through Equity.
Room 16 had mission impossible today with Ms Sterne before lunch and indoor recess.
In the afternoon we had science and explored the concepts of rotation, orbit and revolution. This will help us to understand our day night cycle and the seasons in the year.
