Pillar of the month: Self Reflection
Today in room 16:
We started our morning with a quick appreciation circle to talk about the week and our goal of not spreading rumours or gossip around the classroom.
We also had our artist in residence come for a visit! This awesome experience has the students each creating a board with a piece of a design on them. Every student in the school paints the boards and we then they will be combined and placed on one of the fences.
After recess and snack we moved into spelling. The spelling words are from our provincial government unit as a way to help the students study for their test Friday.
In gym today we began creating our own games. These games will be presented to the class for everyone to play.
After gym we had a large work block in social. I gave the students a big chunk of time to work on their social posters. We will present these posters Wednesday and Thursday to the class to help us study. The posters are an in class project.
In the afternoon we had our math block. With their being two tests this week we did basic facts and integers review. Below are some examples for all students to practice. I sent home a check in test the other day to see how students are doing.
