On Wednesday May 11 we have our first dance residency.

On Wednesday May 18 we have our first Provincial Achievement Test. This test will consist of writing an article based off an information sheet and a story based off a picture. 

Next Friday May 13 we will be having a mock LA PAT part B. In Part B students will read passages, poems, stories and articles, which they have to answer multiple choice questions about. The actual PAT is not until June 14th, we are just doing a trial run with some tech and programs.

Thursday May 19 Grade six vaccinations.

Monday May 9 Charter of Rights and Freedoms project. THIS PROJECT is due!

Math: Patterns- Input Output Machines

LA: News articles, reading comprehension quiz, Mock PAT

Science: Air and Aerodynamics - Drag and gravity experiment & how birds fly

Today in room 16:

The grade six students at BHS had their first mock PAT today! The students were given 3 pictures to choose from and an article research paper. After a 10 minute explanation and 10 minutes to plan the students had 3.5 hours to write their exam. Next week we will review the exams and learn what we need to do for next time!

Everyone stayed quiet while they wrote until the very end. The last half our I let students use laptops and ipads before heading home!
