Today in room 16:

We started our morning with some time to catch up before DEAR and math. 

In math today I taught the students how to convert improper fractions to mixed and vice versa. I've attached some extra practice below.

After snack and recess we moved into tech time to complete a mindfulness survey and do some reading comprehension through common lit. 

Everyone then went down to music and gym (doing lacrosse games) before starting social. In social we started our second day of exploring the Iroquois Confederacy. We watched the video found here...Video

Today we covered how the Iroquois was broken into 6 nations that worked together to create peace amongst the tribes. We learned about clan mothers, long houses and the responsibilities of women within the tribe.

After social we had lunch before afternoon recess and mindfulness. 

In the afternoon we had our second day of evidence and investigation. Today we explored the key terms involved and learned about the observation, inference and hypothesis that can be formed when investigating any scenario. The video we used to practice this is here! Video
